Individual Therapy for Adults in Phoenix
“What’s in the way… is the way”
Get counseling for anxiety, depression, relationships struggles, ADHD and MORE
It’s time to give yourself permission to be seen.
Many individuals experience anxiety, depression, mood swings and ADHD induced emotional dysregulation every single day and feel helpless as to how to cope. Within individual therapy at InnerBloom Therapy Services, you will discover ways to manage these difficult symptoms so you can learn to function and take control of your mental health.
Often times, individuals come to therapy to address problems they are having in their relationship. It is possible to get stuck in certain relationship patterns, and no matter what you try, have difficulty breaking free. As trained marriage and family therapists we are relationship experts and use attachment theory as a basis of our work with individuals.
It is possible you may have never shared your human experience with another person and working with a qualified, relatable and compassionate therapist will help you develop the capacity to connect with yourself in a deeper and more meaningful way.
We will explore family of origin, relationships, career paths, mental health concerns, areas in which you feel blocked and trauma themes that reoccur. Our individual therapy with adults is emotionally focused or infused with parts language.

Inner Child healing
An integral part of therapy at InnerBloom Therapy Services is connecting to your inner child. We will work to get to know this vulnerable part of you and ways in which their needs, desires and wounds are still coming up in your adult life. We will work to find compassion and care for this child and ‘reparent’ your inner child so that it can become integrated into your adult life.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
“Parts Work’
Have you ever said to yourself, “part of me wants to go to the gym, and another part of me wants to veg on the couch?”
Developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, Internal Family Systems or “parts work” is a model that views us humans in terms of “parts” that make up who we are.
We all have different parts to our personalities that serve particular functions in our life.
See IFS in action with founder Dr. Richard Schwartz
Parts develop to protect us from painful or vulnerable experiences and they also help us function. Often times, parts can get stuck in extreme roles that may not serve us in the way they’re intended to (think perfectionism, retail therapy, substance use, over-eating, inner critic) and may seemingly cause disruption in your life.
However there are no bad parts.. In order to heal the parts that carry our pain, we need to get to know them and nurture them in a way they haven’t experienced to create freedom from the burdens they carry.

The Benefits of Therapy
Individual therapy is a space that is just for you. It allows you to slow down and connect with your concerns with someone who has compassion and can help you create the same. It is a space to learn new ways of being with yourself and ways to be with others. It is a space to validate you and your unique struggles as a human.
What to expect from your session
We will meet for an assessment to establish your presenting concerns and how we can help. It is beneficial to meet weekly but frequency can vary depending on your needs. Therapy can be short term or long term depending on your specific goals and the level of support that is needed.
We recommend either 50 or 80 minute sessions.
