Individual Therapy for Adults in Phoenix
“What’s in the way… is the way”
Prioritize Your Mental Health Today
YOU’VE SPENT A LOT OF TIME TRYING TO FIGURE OUT “WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU.”
Maybe you react in ways that surprise even yourself — and then spend days replaying it, drowning in shame. Maybe you’ve given everything to the people you love and somehow still end up empty. Maybe you’ve been holding it together for so long that you’re not even sure what falling apart would look like anymore.
Nothing is wrong with you. But something did happen to you. And it’s still running the show.
At InnerBloom Therapy Services, individual therapy isn’t about symptom management or learning to cope better with a life that doesn’t quite fit. It’s about going to the root — understanding the patterns that formed early, the beliefs you absorbed about your own worthiness, and the ways your nervous system learned to protect you long before you had any say in the matter.
That protection made sense once. It kept you safe. But somewhere along the way it started costing you — your relationships, your voice, your ability to feel genuinely close to another person without bracing for the moment it falls apart.
We work with the whole of you. Not just the part that shows up in conflict, or shuts down under pressure, or keeps giving until there’s nothing left. All of it — the part that craves connection and the part that’s terrified of it. The part that knows something needs to change and the part that’s exhausted by the idea of trying again. Here, all parts are welcome.
Using EFT, EMDR, and IFS, we don’t just talk about what’s happening — we work with where it lives.
In your body, in your patterns, in the stories you’ve been telling yourself for decades about what love is supposed to cost you.
This is the work of becoming someone who doesn’t have to choose between being loved and being yourself.
YOU MIGHT BE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF:
• Your emotional reactions feel bigger than the moment — and the shame afterward feels even bigger
• You give generously in relationships but rarely let yourself receive
• You crave closeness but find yourself pulling away the moment things feel real
• You’ve traced your patterns back far enough to know where they started — and you’re ready to actually do something about it
• You’ve been surviving a relationship, a family dynamic, or a version of yourself that no longer fits
• You move through life feeling vaguely disconnected — from others, from your own feelings, from a sense of who you actually are
• You’re not in crisis, but you know something beneath the surface needs attention
• You want to stop repeating the same cycles before they cost you something else you love

Inner Child healing
An integral part of therapy at InnerBloom Therapy Services is connecting to your inner child. We will work to get to know this vulnerable part of you and ways in which their needs, desires and wounds are still coming up in your adult life. We will work to find compassion and care for this child and ‘reparent’ your inner child so that it can become integrated into your adult life.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
“Parts Work’
Have you ever said to yourself, “part of me wants to go to the gym, and another part of me wants to veg on the couch?”
Developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, Internal Family Systems also referred to as “parts work” is a model that views us humans in terms of “parts” that make up who we are.
We all have different parts to our personalities that serve particular functions in our life.
See IFS in action with founder Dr. Richard Schwartz
Parts develop to protect us from painful or vulnerable experiences and they also help us function. Often times, parts can get stuck in extreme roles that may not serve us in the way they’re intended to (think perfectionism, retail therapy, substance use, over-eating, inner critic) and may seemingly cause disruption in your life.
However there are no bad parts.. In order to heal the parts that carry our pain, we need to get to know them and nurture them in a way they haven’t experienced, to create freedom from the burdens they carry.

The Benefits of Therapy
Individual therapy is a space that is just for you. It allows you to slow down and connect with your concerns with someone who has compassion and can help you create the same. It is a space to learn new ways of being with yourself and ways to be with others. It is a space to validate you and your unique struggles as a human.
What to expect from your session
We will meet for an assessment to establish your presenting concerns and how we can help. It is beneficial to meet weekly but frequency can vary depending on your needs. Therapy can be short term or long term depending on your specific goals and the level of support that is needed.
We recommend either 50 or 80 minute sessions.
