My Therapeutic Approach

I became a therapist after personally experiencing the healing power of therapy. Working through my own challenges with the support of a therapist showed me the profound impact of this work, and I knew I wanted to help others in the same way.

My passion lies in working with couples in distress, the LGBTQ+ community, navigating neurodivergence, and teens and adults navigating trauma.

My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative— As a Hispanic, cis-female, I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable opening up and being their authentic selves. I am very sensitive to cultural, gender and sexual diversity.

I specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), both of which help clients heal from trauma, deepen emotional connections, and move past the barriers that keep them stuck.

I am currently expanding my practice by learning parts work and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which I’m excited to incorporate into my work. These approaches help clients explore the different parts of themselves, understand inner conflicts, and move toward greater self-compassion and healing.

I also incorporate breathwork into my sessions and am in the process of learning sound healing as another therapeutic tool.

For couples & families, I focus on helping them strengthen communication, vulnerability, and connection. For individuals, my goal is to help them process trauma, overcome their past, be kinder to themselves through self-compassion, and achieve the life they want.

I offer both in-person and virtual therapy to make sessions as accessible as possible.

A Little About Me

I’m originally from San Diego, and yes, I definitely miss the perfect year-round weather! Traveling is one of my biggest passions—I love experiencing new cultures and trying different foods (though I can be a little picky!)

I speak conversational Spanish and am currently working toward being able to provide therapy in Spanish!

In my free time, you can find me hiking, watching a good movie with my husband and dogs, or getting lost in a great book—I love Taylor Jenkins Reid and Kristin Hannah.

And if I’m being honest, my ultimate guilty pleasure is watching absolute trash TV—think Love is Blind, The Bachelor, and anything that involves strangers making questionable life decisions on camera. I also have a soft spot for chick flicks and sitcoms (if Just Go With It is on, I’m watching it—no shame). It’s all about balance, right?

At home, I love cooking, especially making Mexican food, and spending time with my husband, five-year-old stepdaughter, and our two dogs.
